FUGRO-LCT awarded prestigious databasing contract by TotalFinaElf

FUGRO-LCT is pleased to announce the award by TotalFinaElf of a contract to database all of TFE's gravity and magnetic data. The contract was awarded following an industry-wide competitive exercise in which leaders in gravity and magnetic data services were invited to tender earlier this year.

Fugro-LCT will use their in house expertise to verify, catalogue and format to a common standard all legacy data available to TFE. Fugro company Robertson Research International (www.robresint.co.uk) will then provide a fully customised software solution to allow TFE geoscientists to access their data by survey name or geographical area. The common data format to be used is LCT binary. This will allow TFE to extract grids or line data from the database and load directly into the Fugro-LCT interpretation software for which they already have a corporate license.
